9/11 Reminder: Come Together Again
During these trivial times we shouldn’t need another disaster to unify as a nation
At a regional meeting of elected trade union leaders in Philadelphia today, Chris Erikson, the Business Manager of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 3 in NYC started off today’s events by reading off the names of members of the IBEW who were murdered on that tragic day at the World Trade Center.
One by one, Erikson named them, with details of where they were and what electrical contractors they were working for. In weeks previous, Erikson was visiting jobs in downtown Manhattan when he took a moment to record and reflect on that awful day with the Freedom Tower in the background.
Watch his remarks below and listen to a message that we as a nation need to hear.
