94 collectin' food for the poor
For the last month, IBEW Local 94 has been holding a Food Drive to give back to the Hightstown community. This is the second annual food drive that the local has held. The food drive was coordinated by the NXTUP 94 committee, which is the Youth Caucus of Local 94. The drive was done in conjunction with Rise, a non-profit community organization that provides a range of assistance to the local community to build independence and help working people reach their full potential.
"This is about giving back, and giving to those that are less fortunate than us", said Buddy Thoman, President and Business Manager of IBEW, Local 94. "I am very proud of the job that our NxtUp Committee has done. On behalf of the Next Up Committee, Officers, and staff of IBEW, Local 94 I would like to thank all of those who were generous enough to donate to our recent food drive to benefit the Rise Food Pantry, here in Hightstown, NJ. The success of this endeavor is a shining example of what our Local Union is all about. We power our state and empower our communities."
