Meet Brian, UCOMM’s letter carrier. This Saturday May 13th is the Annual Letter Carriers Food Drive, a nationwide food drive that everyone can participate in. Simply leave non-perishable food items at your mailbox and guys like Brian will lug it to a sort location to be distributed to local food pantries. This is a hard day for dudes like Brian, can after can gets heavy, so if you’re just chilling out at home on Saturday, offer help to your Letter Carrier. Consider collecting all the food from your neighbors for them.

If you are heading to the grocery store and are wondering what to buy to fill a bag to Stamp Out Hunger, well kids love PB&J, mac and cheese and Spaghetti O’s. Senior Citizens like all types of soups and canned fruits go a long way as well. So do your part to not only fill a bag, but share this page and encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same, use social networks as well on Saturday morning with #StampOutHunger and last and certainly not least, thank your union Letter Carrier. It’s a long hard day and thankless but great points with St. Peter for all involved.
