UCOMM Launches IBEW 94's Website
The new state of the art site is mobile friendly and showcases the members at work
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 94 represents the hardworking men and women at PSE&G and at some power generation plants in New Jersey. The union is headquartered in Hightstown, New Jersey. Local 94 has been a long-time client of the UCOMM Media Group, which is why it is a special day to announce the launch of their new, mobile friendly website.
The new state of the art site replaces one that UCOMM built for the union years ago. While the old site served the membership well, some of its features were becoming outdated. The new site will look great on phones, tablets and desktop computers and will have some state-of-the-art new features. The site will host important information from the union including news updates, videos, photos, and important links and forms for the membership.
To go along with the new site, UCOMM visited a number of jobsites to gather new pictures of the members on the job. Theses pictures of the members are the visual centerpiece of the site. Members will also be able to use the site to sign up for the union’s email, called The Badger. This email is sent monthly to the members to keep them up-to-date on everything that is going on with their local union and the larger labor movement.
“As one of our oldest clients and the very first of our mobile friendly websites, this upgrade was a long time coming,” said UCOMM’s web developer Ryan Birch. “This modern design showcases lots of large photos of the members on the job. It was built on Drupal’s most up-to-date release ensuring that it will stay on the relevant for years to come.”
Congratulations to the staff and leadership of Local 94 for launching their website on-time and within budget. The site looks great and as you can easily see, they are one good looking local union!
