For people who work out in the sun, temperatures in the 80’s and 90’s are no day at the beach.  Depending on the heat index, these days can be extremely dangerous. Now the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, along with the Department of Labor, has come out with an app that will let you figure out what the heat index is at your job site, display a risk level and remind you of protective measures to take.  The app, which is available in English and Spanish and for both iPhone and Android, gives you important tips like remembering to drink water, what to do in a heat emergency, and ways to prevent heat related illnesses.  More information on the app can be found on OSHA’s website.
