Workers of the World Unite with St. Joseph!

This Sunday is May Day Comrades, so thousands of workers are expected to rally in New York City at Foley Square - Worth Street (Between Centre & Lafayette Streets) Event organizers will be highlighting tax giveaways for the rich and the attack on public sector unions. This demonstration is part of a worldwide tradition that is over 100 years old. May Day is is also the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. Catholics believe that St. Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus Christ, is the Patron Saint of Workers. St. Joseph of Nazareth was a Carpenter.
