AFL-CIO Hosts Town Hall
In an administration recently riddled with controversy Trumka does some face time
On Monday, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka kicked off a series of Town Hall meetings. The first one took place in Pittsburgh, and more will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Cleveland and Detroit. The topic of the meetings is to discuss the new USMCA trade deal in three communities that were greatly affected by NAFTA. It also gives Trumka, who has been facing criticism and scandal within the AFL-CIO, an opportunity to get some good press and talk to the rank and file in some of the most important swing states in 2020.
