Cordelia Anthony is a newly elected union leader with the Farmingdale Federation of Teachers. UCOMM recently sat down with her to discuss what it’s like being a young union leader who is both a woman and a person of color. In this wide-ranging interview, Cordelia discusses the state of our education system, both locally and nationally, her journey from Antigua to Long Island and a frank discussion is had about relations between police and the black community, the meaning of black lives matters and various civil rights issues of our day.
